Slayden Completes $78M Expansion of Medford’s Robert A. Duff Water Treatment Plant

Slayden Constructors, in partnership with Jacobs Engineering, recently completed construction of the Robert A. Duff Water Treatment Plant expansion for the Medford Water Commission. The $78 million project is a major infrastructure upgrade that will provide long-term benefits to Medford and the greater Rogue Valley.

The expansion increased the plant’s treatment capacity from45 million gallons per day to 65 million gallons, ensuring the system can keeppace with the region’s growth. The project also introduced advanced filtrationsystems, a new reservoir, and a modern pump station. Built-in redundancies and seismic resiliency features were incorporated to strengthen reliability, evenin the event of natural disasters.

This project represents a significant investment in theRogue Valley’s future, safeguarding public health and supporting continueddevelopment in southern Oregon. Career Fairs Bring New Talent to Slayden

Slayden has been concentrating its recruitment efforts at university career fairs renowned for their construction programs. During the fall and winter career fairs, Slayden worked hard to recruit and place nine interns for the summer of 2024. The students come from George Fox University, Boise State, Oregon State University (OSU), Oregon Institute of Technology, and Boston University.
