Whether you are a season professional or just starting out, we're looking for individuals that are ready to find and grow their careers. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and customized training programs for all roles.
We have opportunities for field and office positions across the region. Benefits include:
Summer Internship Program Creating future workers and leaders in the construction industry is a role we take seriously. Every summer, we select a group of students to gain on-the-job experience for various roles. Check us out at Career Fairs or our Careers page for open positions.
Internships are available for craft labor, project management, digital delivery of construction services, estimating, and other job functions.
Interns engage in meaningful, active construction projects, allowing them to apply academic knowledge in practical settings. Interns participate in project coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and site management tasks. Our program also emphasizes professional development with workshops and networking opportunities.
Every intern is paired with an experienced leader in their discipline to learn various aspects of the job, company, and industry.
We prefer candidates pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Interns receive competitive pay and may be eligible for other benefits. Our intern program is designed to be a fun and engaging experience where students learn about construction opportunities and potential career paths.

We recognize the importance of training new people in the construction trades. Our Apprenticeships provide on-the-job training, coupled with classroom-only education. We have worked with the Salem-Keizer Public School’s Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) and the Northwest College of Construction (NWCOC) to source candidates.
In 2024, Slayden offered a group of students a 13-week craft internship, where they received full laborer wages. Once their internship neared the end, many chose to remain working while they applied for apprenticeship programs at NWCOC. The accepted students are continuing to work for Slayden while completing their college curriculum.
Check us out at Career Fairs or our Careers page for open positions. Minorities and women are strongly encouraged to apply.
One of the most significant benefits of an apprenticeship is that you earn a wage while you're learning. You don't have to wait until you've completed your training to start making money. Over time, your pay will typically increase as you gain more experience and skills.
Apprenticeships follow a structured curriculum that combines classroom instruction with practical work. This means you’ll learn industry-specific skills, safety protocols, and technical knowledge from experienced mentors and instructors.
Skilled tradespeople are always in demand. By completing an apprenticeship in the construction field, you're preparing yourself for a career in a sector that has strong job stability.
During your apprenticeship, you'll build connections with experienced professionals in the field. These connections can be helpful when you're looking for future job opportunities, collaborations, or advice.
