Slayden delivered a new membrane bioreactor (MBR) treatment facility and modern headworks for the Sunriver Water Reclamation Facility, helping the private utility meet more stringent discharge requirements and produce Class A recycled water. Through thoughtful value engineering and collaboration, our team successfully met the project’s budget goals while delivering a highly efficient treatment process.

The project included construction of a new headworks building equipped with two fine screens and two grit vortex chambers, along with a dedicated MBR facility to house the new membrane systems and supporting equipment. Slayden also decommissioned the existing headworks and two aging clarifiers as part of the upgrade.

Located in a popular resort community in Central Oregon, the project required careful planning and close coordination to minimize impacts to both treatment operations and the surrounding residential areas. The completed improvements support long‑term environmental stewardship while ensuring reliable service for the Sunriver community.
