Slayden Constructors delivered a new, fish‑friendly river intake pump station for the Lake Oswego‑Tigard Partnership, increasing capacity from 16 to 38 MGD and strengthening the region’s drinking water supply. Designed to blend comfortably into the surrounding neighborhood, the facility features a residential‑style façade, upgraded fencing, durable architectural materials, and native landscaping that reflects the natural character of the Willamette River corridor. After replacing the pipeline feeding the treatment plant, Slayden demolished the original intake structure and completed additional community enhancements, including new landscaping in Cross Park, removal of invasive vegetation, and installation of a public drinking fountain. Construction began in August 2013, and by September 2015 the new seismically resilient intake system was fully operational providing a reliable, environmentally responsible source of water for both cities.

Slayden earned First Place in the 2025 AGC Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) in the Utility Infrastructure Category — Under 500,000 Work Hours.
