![]() Fish Facilities/Dams
Slayden has extensive experience in working with fisheries and laboratories; we know very well the civil and mechanical work associated with their difficult projects. A Slayden project team successfully completed one of the most controversial fisheries projects in Oregon – the Klamath Falls A-Canal Fish Screen project – involving not only endangered species and local controversies, but also a tight time schedule and complex construction techniques. Slayden is experienced with extensive in-water work and with everything from fish pumps to handling facilities and evaluation stations, all built in environmentally sensitive areas.
We understand the complexities of fish projects, which are often composite in nature – comprising elements that fall under several categories of construction, including specialty civil work (streambed construction and site work), fisheries (rearing ponds, sedimentation basins, intake modifications), and building construction.
