Slayden Construction maintains the supervisory staff, equipment, financial and bonding resources, and market knowledge to undertake sizeable design/build projects in the Pacific Northwest.
We have undertaken and completed more CM/GC or Design/Build treatment plant projects than any other Oregon based general contractor. More than half of Slayden Construction’s workload has been contracted through the CM/GC or RFP process since 2004.
We understand how the CM/GC and design build procurement processes work. We clearly define the scope of the various equipment procurement and subcontract and subconsultant packages and integrate them; we know the opportunities and limitations of public contracting statutes and how to structure a competitive process for procurement, while at the same time allowing the CM/GC to maintain control of the project by performing integral structural concrete and site piping scopes ourselves. We know what works and what doesn’t when we apply CM/GC or design build procurement to heavy civil construction.
